Our Third Annual Pancake Breakfast, held Sat, 5/10/2008, was a big success due largely to the generosity of the following organizations and individuals:

• Price Chopper, Bennington, VT - provided food and supplies
• Shaw's, Manchester, VT - provided food and supplies
• Price Chopper, Manchester, VT - provided food and supplies
• Ted's Barber Shop, Manchester, VT - provided local VT syrup
• American Legion Post #69, Arlington, VT - donated the facilities/location
• As well as the invaluable contributions of time and talent of chapter members and friends
• Special thanks to Chapter President Doug Lyons for organizing this year's breakfast. Thanks for pulling it all together Doug!

We had a great crowd and we raised over $500 from the breakfast and 50/50 raffle which will go toward implementing Trout in the Classroom projects in Arlington, VT and at the Mettawee Community School in West Pawlet, VT.

We awarded the following great raffle prizes, also generously donated:

• Signed, numbered, limited edition Thomas Ames print of a Golden Stonefly
• Hand-carved, one-of-a-kind Sam Lacina landing net
• Orvis Batten Kill Large Arbor II reel (for 3-4-5 weight line)
• Orvis T3 8'6" (mid-flex) 2 piece rod for 4 weight line
• Stack of books & DVDs donated by American Angler Magazine

We also sold raffle tickets for a beautiful Leonard Duracane bamboo fly rod, paired with an Orvis CFO reel. We'll be holding the drawing for this rod/reel in November at our chapter meeting, so you still have plenty of time to get your tickets. For more information on this rod or raffle, click here.
